Local Designer Showcase
My dad used to venture off to the drug store each Christmas Eve to purchase my sisters and me an umbrella. Although it became a running family joke, I now have a closet full of never-been-used umbrellas. Don't disappointment those fabulous ladies on your list with lackluster stocking stuffers.
Make your last-minute gifts memorable and sentimental by shopping local.
Stop by Clutch on Thursday, December 17th from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm as we spotlight some incredible local talents.
We'll have jewelry designers Tarah Prater Perini & Kelsey Colliander along with handmade knit designer Lynn Pinkoske.
You're sure to work up an appetite with all this shopping. We'll have refreshments on hand for nibbling.

Iris Apfel
Over 80 of the exquisite Iris Apfel's ensembles are currently on display at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem Massachusetts. Gah! We're dying to see this amazing collection. This lady knows color! She's the best at mixing clothing and large, chunky baubles. Ms. Apfel is not afraid to pair high end fashion with flea market finds. A woman to truly admire for her original sense of style and impeccable business sense.
Iris got her start in interior design and soon opened a textile company with her husband called Old World Weavers. They created the most amazing textile pieces for the likes of Dorothy Draper, Marjorie Meriwether Post, and Estee Lauder.
But, it is Iris' unique sense of style that keeps her in the spotlight today. Here are some of our favorite looks. Photos courtesy of the Peabody Essex Museum, Oprah Magazine, and the Daily Telegraph.
If Iris were to ever visit our shop (gasp!) we imagine she might be drawn to these great, colorful bags.

Anita Pallenberg
Anita Pallenberg, the model and actress best known for her long-term relationship with Keith Richards, has influenced fashion trends for years. You can see her style reflected in the outfits of today's starlets such as Sienna Miller, Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe. We love her fashion forward looks and could see most of these ensembles on modern day girls. We love the space age look of the above piece. The gloves top it off making it more glam than trashy. This look could be easily paired with the Fullum & Holt bag below. Fullum & Holt Ribbed Tote Available in Black and White
This look is so 70s chic. We're especially loving the large cocktail ring. The vibrant colors are fitting for this pucci inspired era. We'd pair the outfit with these great bags. Jalda Aida Tote Available in Purple and Black Gerard Darel 24 Hour Bag Available in Chocolate, Gray, Navy and Shiny Black We want this entire outfit! Well, maybe we'd get rid of the boa. From the dress, to the boots to the belt, this is so right now. She just needs a great bag to top it off. We'd suggest these: Jack Rabbit Moon River
